Panel debate

Challenging the consensus: Opportunities beyond the next hype.

In a world of immediacy where everything is expected now, including returns, swimming against the tide while markets are rallying can be uncomfortable. Especially as hot money continues to flow into passives which, for several years, have been shooting the lights out. But markets can be fickle, as we have seen with the now-nicknamed ‘Lagnificent Seven’ beginning to dwindle. Elsewhere, a mixed macroeconomic picture has led to chronic uncertainty when it comes to central bank policy. How can investors look beyond the noise, avoid falling into ‘fad pitfalls’ and deliver sustainable, top-quartile returns over the next decade, not just the next 10 months?
